Ghana’s population is expected to reach 33,007618 in 2024, showing a growth of 1.07 times compared to 2021 when it was 30,832,019.

Projections for 2050 suggest that there will be one million more women than men in the country

The expected shift in demographics in Ghana, with one million more women than projected by 2050, will have significant implications for various aspects of Ghanaian society, including economic development, healthcare, social structures, and gender dynamics.

The Statistical Service forecasted a yearly increase of 711,706 people from 2021 to 2030, estimating the population to reach 37.24 million by the close of this decade.

The forecast that Ghana will have a million more women than men by 205 should prompt policymakers, businesses, and society as a whole to take action
