'Teen Mom' Star Catelynn Baltierra Reveals She's 'Ignored' And 'Blocked' By Adoptive Parents
"Teen Mom" star Catelynn Baltierra recently took to Instagram to share that her daughter Carly's adoptive parents have "blocked" her.
"Teen Mom" star Catelynn Baltierra recently took to Instagram to share her sadness and frustration over her daughter Carly's adoptive parents ignoring and blocking her.
Catelynn shared a series of Instagram Stories claiming Brandon and Teresa, Carly's adoptive parents, have been ignoring her for months and have refused to let her and husband Tyler Baltierra see Carly for her 15th birthday.
The "Teen Mom" star is sharing her frustration over being "ignored" by Carly's adoptive parents, saying, "Adoption is crazy."
"I'm blocked all because of me sending updates and pictures of her sisters..how is that fair for Carly and her siblings? It's sad for sure," she wrote in her first Instagram Story. "But, makes me sad for the kids. When you're a bio mom and you have no say..no control..all I can do is show Carly in the future how much I tried and continued to do so."
The next Instagram Story was a video that shared Catelynn scrolling through all the texts she sent to Teresa starting on July 1. In the texts sent, there were photos, videos, and messages, and none were responded to.
"Literally ignored for months then just blocked," Catelynn wrote at the bottom of the Instagram Story. "Hurts my heart for all the kids involved."
The following Story talks about the "gift" Catelynn gave Teresa and Brandon.
"I gave them one of my biggest gifts ever. A child I grew and love so deeply," she wrote. "I will not let them take my voice. I post so that hopefully Carly will see it and see I have always tried. To know I mean nothing to the APs but just a womb to give a child hurts my heart."
Catelynn continued to explain how this treatment is making her feel, saying she's a "person with feelings" and her children also have feelings.
"A child being involved with extra people that only love and support them. How is that threatening?" she continued. "I'll never understand."
The following Story slide shared what Catelynn is thinking the issue could be.
"At the end of the day I think her parents feel scared/threatened because Carly would ask questions about why we don't get together more, why we can't just fly to her for a weekend etc," she wrote. "I will ALWAYS support Carly loving her parents! They love her and raised her! But the fact that they keep us distant and Carly's siblings distant does not help Carly."
The next slide addressed what people are saying about Catelynn sharing her story on social media.
"I love how people say that I'm putting them on 'blast' when I am literally just sharing my own feelings, not calling them any hurtful names or anything," she shared. "As bio parents we are taught to just take what's given to us and that we should feel 'lucky' but if anything goes wrong, we need to shut up and be quiet. Ok I'm done for today."
Catelynn and Tyler had Carly when they were 16 years old and made the decision to put her up for adoption. They documented their journey on "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom." The couple entered an open adoption with the adoptive parents which has allowed them to get updates on Carly and have visits with her.
The Baltierras are parents to Nova, 9, Vaeda, 5, and Rya, 2. While the family visits with Carly occasionally and the experience is shared on social media, they never show Carly's face. Catelynn shared a black-and-white photo of their last visit with Carly in late June 2023.
