Young reiterated the rumor in a confessional on their hit reality show's new and eighth season after she initially mentioned it on social media in August. In her words:

"I did hear from a reliable source that Emma has likely had relations with a married man."

The report did not sit right with Hernan, who cleared the air in her interview on September 12. Hernan described Young as "this evil human" and stated that she was "completely blindsided" by the story. Hernan continued saying:

"I had no idea that this was going on the entire season. I did not find this out till right before when we got the screeners. It's disgusting."

She referred to Young as "a pathological liar and just an all-around disgusting human being," explaining that the rumors were untrue.

Hernan claimed in the interview with E! News that the story had "zero truth" and revealed that she "wasn't given a voice to even defend this and show the receipts, show all the proof."

The real estate agent noted that she had "no desire to speak" to Young and demanded an immediate apology for her false story. Hernan declared to Young:

"You're an awful human being, and you owe me a sincere apology. Let me just tell you that this isn't over. This is so damaging. What she had done to me. It's disgusting. It is slander. It is defamation."

However, Hernan is not alone in her fight against Young's false account. Her castmates Chelsea Lazkani, Jason Oppenheim, and Bratt Oppenheim reportedly reached out to her to show support.

Another cast member, Chrishell Stause, stated on her Instagram Story on August 31 that Young had spread a "disgusting lie about a bestie." Stause later clarified that Hernan was the "bestie" she was referring to.

Young then came to her own defense, urging the parties involved to stop attacking her and accusing her of lying. She added, "I think you ladies need to ask your bestie some tough questions."

Young then informed her audience that Hernan was allegedly "directly confronted on camera at the season 7 finale by the wife's best friend," adding that despite her knowledge of the confrontation, she still "stated this info as a rumor."

Stause reiterated her support for Hernan in an interview on September 5, noting that Young was able to make an untrue rumor about her best friend. "She's going to be able to prove that it isn't true, but she wasn't given the chance on the show to prove much," she added.

Aside from defending Hernan, Stause and Young are not cordial. The duo have been feuding since the sixth season of "Selling Sunset," which aired last year. According to Stause, the chances of her reconciling with Young are non-existent as Stause noted, "I think she's proven the snake that she is."

The Blast reported that the 43-year-old was confident that Young's lies would unravel on the new season of the real estate battle reality show.

Stause claimed there was proof and valid receipts of Young's alleged wrongdoing. She noted: "Even the person that this somehow started with, that Nicole, you know, names, is the first person to be like "Oh my God, that is not what I said, Nicole."

Stause assured fans that "all of this proof is coming out," even though they will have to wait until the new season airs to post it. The realtor condemned Netflix for indulging Young's excesses, stating:

"It's unfortunate that she was given the platform to do it again and Emma not being given the chance to defend herself."

Stause also expressed her intention to give the streaming platform and "Selling Sunset" an ultimatum to remove Young from the show, or she would leave.

"I will never work on a show with her again… After eight seasons and seeing someone systematically try to plot against several people... Why are we giving her more airtime?" she wondered.

Stause declared that the audience was not interested in seeing any more of Young. She described her as somebody who is "just hungry for camera time and lies."

The 43-year-old reiterated that the audience is over Young's shenanigans and that she could continue using corny tactics to stay relevant without their constant back-and-forth.
