Oasis Adds Two More Dates to Reunion Tour Due to Overwhelming Demand

Oasis has revealed two extra concert dates for their highly anticipated reunion tour across Britain and Ireland, citing “phenomenal” demand from fans eager to see the band live for the first time in 15 years. The new shows will take place at Wembley Stadium on September 27 and 28, 2025.

The iconic British rock band, which split in 2009 after lead guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher said he could no longer work with his brother, lead singer Liam Gallagher, initially announced 14 shows. The tour is set to kick off in Cardiff in July 2025, with stops in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Following a surge in demand, three additional UK dates were added last week, bringing the total to 17 shows before the latest Wembley announcement.

The weekend sale for the original 17 concerts saw a chaotic rush, with fans experiencing long waits online, technical glitches, and sharp price increases due to dynamic pricing. This strategy, which raises ticket prices in response to high demand, sparked outrage among fans. The UK government, led by Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, responded by pledging to investigate the “depressing” practice as part of a broader consultation on consumer protections in ticket sales and resales.

Oasis distanced themselves from the controversy, stating they had no prior knowledge that dynamic pricing would be applied to ticket sales. In a statement to PA Media, the band clarified that decisions regarding ticketing and pricing were made by promoters and management.

To address the ticketing issues, Oasis announced a new staggered, invitation-only ballot process for the additional shows. Priority access will be given to UK fans who were unable to secure tickets during the initial sale with Ticketmaster.

The upcoming tour marks the first time Noel and Liam Gallagher will perform together since their split in 2009. Despite their public disagreements, both brothers have continued to perform Oasis songs during their solo careers. Fans can expect to hear classic hits like “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and “Champagne Supernova” as the band promises to deliver “the spark and intensity” that only happens when they share the stage.
