Lana Del Rey Talks Life As A Newlywed After Surprise Marriage
Lana Del Rey is giving fans a glimpse into the early days of her marriage to Jeremy Dufrene, after tying the knot last month.
Singer Lana Del Rey is no stranger to making headlines and inspiring a ton of attention as a result.
The 39-year-old "Summertime Sadness" singer's tendency to shock her fans with her sudden actions isn't new. Del Rey's fans and critics were surprised to see her take a job as a Waffle House waitress last year, and more recently when she suddenly wed her boyfriend Jeremy Dufrene.
The couple was seen attempting to obtain a marriage license last month and quietly wed soon afterward.
The "West Coast" singer rarely comments on her relationship publicly, but she was determined to knock her critics down a notch, by defending her new marriage and husband.

Mr. and Mrs. Dufrene made their marriage official with a wedding in Louisana, at Dufrene's workplace, as The Blast previously reported.
The "A&W" singer was walked down the aisle by her father, Robert Grant, and her siblings were said to have attended the wedding. Her mother was reportedly absent from Del Rey's big day.
The new bride's dress was thrifted from a New Orleans-based boutique, with sources saying its price tag was under $400. The floor-length dress was white and traditional, and Del Rey supplemented her wedding look with a bouquet.
Jeremy Dufrene Is 'Deserving' Of Marriage According To Ex-Fiancée
The Dufrene's quickie nuptials not only caught fans off guard, but insiders within the couple's personal lives were shocked as well!
Del Rey's new groom had been close to walking down the aisle before. Mr. Dufrene's ex-fiancée of 12 years spoke out about his sudden engagement and marriage to one of music's biggest pop icons.
Kelli Welsh broke her silence on Dufrene's marriage in an interview with The Daily Mail. While initially "shocked" by her ex's big news, Welsh revealed she now feels "happy" for her former man.
Describing Del Rey's new husband, Welsh called Dufrene "a very protective, hardworking, manly man," adding he "needed to get out of his comfort zone" of life on the Louisana bayou.
"He was used to being out on the bayou and being out on the swamp," Welsh explained. "He is very deserving of this blessing," she added.
Lana Del Rey Is Defending Her Man From Naysayers
The alligator tour guide's new wife wants critics to understand her husband's worthiness!
The "Say Yes To Heaven" is through with Dufrene's character being dragged through the metaphorical mud. Taking to her public Instagram account, (she has been notorious for having a private account in the past), she defended her man in the comments of a fan's video.
According to Bustle, Del Rey commented on a post featuring her and Dufrene taking a private moment to sit while at a restaurant. She also detailed her frustration with the local paparazzi, who were responsible for shooting the video.
"Unfortunately, a local couple from Houma won’t stop flying drones into our windows every morning and following us with a tracker," Del Rey explained.
She then shared details of the paparazzi's attempts to follow the couple around.
"But if Sara Michelle Champagne and Kruesch could stop switching vehicles following the family — and stop following us around remote parts of the country and photo-shopping my wedding ring into a pearl — I know we would feel a lot safer," Del Rey continued. The publication detailed the duo Del Rey mentioned were local paparazzi.
The "Video Games" songstress was quick to share her happiness! She added, "All that being said Jeremy is the one and only," she said, per the publication. "And amazing. And we're very happy."
The 'Suburban House' Singer Is Protecting Her Name On Social Media
Del Rey is no stranger to defending herself on social media. Last year, she spoke up about an incredibly personal topic after coming under fire for witchcraft accusations!
As The Blast previously reported, an influencer slammed the singer for "promoting witchcraft" due to her audience seemingly acting bizarrely during a concert; Del Rey called them a "gremlin" for their accusations.
The Christian influencer pointed to past interviews where the "Lust For Life" singer was thought to allude to having witchcraft experience. The influencer turned comments off on the post in question.
"B**ch, I know the Bible verse way better than you do," Del Rey clapped back in the post's comment section. "PS you're giving off super gremlin energy. Not in a good way."
Lana Del Rey Kept Her Identity Secret From Her New Husband
Keeping herself in a blissful bubble is how Del Rey seems to prefer living life alongside her partners. The beginnings of her relationship with Dufrene were also reminiscent of the low-key way the duo are celebrating life as newlyweds.
The "Margret" singer was said to purposefully keep her pop star identity from Dufrene when they first started getting to know one another.
Insiders explained to the Daily Mail that Del Rey didn't "immediately" tell her man who she was. Keeping her fame under wraps felt "refreshing" to the "Lost At Sea" songstress, as previously reported by The Blast.
