All Four Locations Of Hart House Have Closed Abruptly
Vegan fast food fans will now have to find a new place to get their favorite meatless meals.
Hart House, the Southern California plant-based chain founded by Hart, closed all four locations on September 10.
Hart House CEO Andy Hooper confirmed the news of the chain's closing to Eater in a statement that reads, "The response to the product has been incredible, and we thank our committed team, our customers, and our community partners for helping make the change we all craved, and for their unwavering support of Hart House."
Hart House opened its first location in August 2022 not far from LAX. The second location opened in November 2022, and the next location in June 2023.
Saying Goodbye To The Fans On Instagram
While the restaurant's website doesn't mention that the fast food chain is closed, there is a post on Instagram to thank customers.
"Thank you. To our team, guests, and community, who helped make the change we all craved. A Hartfelt goodbye for now as we start a new chapter," the post reads.

Hart House Was Selling Shirts Online Just Days Before Closing
Just three days before sharing the notice on Instagram that Hart House is no more, the chain was trying to sell some shirts.
"This shirt? Yes Chef. Available at all Hart House Locations," the post reads. One follower commented, "Let's goooo! Get that merch." Another asked, "The Sherman Oaks location?"
Prior to the shirt post, Hart House's Instagram was quite active with posts every few days. A post shared on August 29 showed some reviews of their "Dishonorably Hot Chick’n Sandwich" in honor of their "birthday week."
Kevin Hart Asked Keith Lee To Try Hart House
Back in May 2023, Hart called on viral food critic Keith Lee to visit Hart House and try out some of the menu items so he could give an honest review.
"Kevin Hart reached out to me and asked me to try his restaurant," Lee said at the beginning of the video. "It's vegan food. Now I was set back because I'm not a huge fan of vegan food and I've been very vocal about that. So why did he reach out to me? And I told him I was gonna be 100 percent real. He told me, that's what he wanted."
Lee tried out a few menu items, but before trying anything, he explained how affordable the food was. Lee's entire review was quite positive with high ratings. After taking a bite of a Deluxe Hot and Crispy Chick'n sandwich. He said he was shocked that it was vegan, said it tasted like a chicken sandwich, and rated it a 9.3 out of 10.
