In a civil lawsuit filed in Sacramento Superior Court, Condit claims her boss often demanded him to perform sexual acts.

On one occasion she asked him to do oral sex inside a small car which caused him severe back injury, Condit claims.

He has accused both Alvarado-Gil and the California State Senate of “discrimination in violation of state employment protections”.

The former chief of staff has described his relationship with her ex-boss as a “sex-based quid pro quo” that was marked by “unwelcome advances and sexual behaviours coupled with punishment and flexing of power”.

He said her boss had a “lifetime free pass” to cheat on her husband.

Alvardo-Gil is married and has six children.

Condit also claimed in the lawsuit that she fired him when he began resisting the x-rated requests after his back injury which “made her unhappy with him”.

Alvarado-Gil hired Condit as chief of staff after being elected in 2022 but fired him just a year later.

She has categorically denied the allegations – and has hit back at Condit saying he is a “disgruntled former employee” who has “fabricated an outlandish story … to get a payday.”

Ognian Gavrilov, the attorney representing Alvarado-Gil, told POLITICO the accusations are “without any corroboration of evidence.”

“This is an outlandish lawsuit and we’re going to fight it and we’re going to win it.

“We expect that the Senator will be fully cleared of any wrongdoing of these bogus, financially motivated claims.”

Condit claims that Alvarado-Gil had a particular liking for oral sex and repeatedly asked him to perform it on her.

He said in the lawsuit she treated it as a perk of power, DailyMail reports.

Condit, who is the son of a former Democratic Congressman, gave accounts of one of the alleged incidents in the lawsuit.

It reads: “They were driving together and they pulled over to go to the restroom.

“When he came back to the car, she had her pants pulled down and said: ‘I want you to kiss it and prove your loyalty’.”

On one occasion, Condit alleges he suffered serious back injuries after Alvarado-Gil asked him to perform oral sex on a car seat.

He claims to have to “twist and contort his body in the confined space of the car”.

He then suffered three herniated discs in his back and a collapsed hip, according to the suit.

Condit claims in the lawsuit he was left “numb and acted without thinking” after months of the alleged abuse by her ex-boss.

Having to undergo back surgery for his alleged injuries, Condit says it was after his injury that he began refusing Alvarado-Gil’s sexual demands.

He also claimed Alvardo-Gil threatened to hire his wife Helen, with whom he has three kids, before firing him from the job.

Condit also accused the California State Senate in the lawsuit.

“The Secretary of the Senate blindly accepted Alvarado-Gil’s retaliatory actions and ratified her abuse of him,” the lawsuit read.

Erika Contreras, Secretary of the Senate, said: “The Senate has not been served in this matter, but we are in discussions with counsel to assess next steps.

“The Senate takes all complaints incredibly seriously but is unable to comment on matters involving pending litigation.”
