The Harris campaign called for a second debate shortly after the first one. Trump, however, has been non-committal thus far.

Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris should have another presidential debate, prominent Trump backer Elon Musk said on Wednesday.
"Excellent, a second debate would be great," Musk wrote in an X post in response to the Harris campaign's call for another debate.
Harris campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon issued the challenge to Trump shortly after their first debate concluded on Tuesday night.

"Under the bright lights, the American people got to see the choice they will face this fall at the ballot box: between moving forward with Kamala Harris, or going backwards with Trump," O'Malley Dillon said in a statement on Tuesday.
"That's what they saw tonight and what they should see at a second debate in October. Vice President Harris is ready for a second debate. Is Donald Trump?"
Musk's support for a second debate is notable, considering how non-committal Trump has been about a rematch.
"Now, she wants to do another one because she got beaten tonight," Trump told reporters in the post-debate spin room on Tuesday.
"But I don't know if we're gonna do another one. I wouldn't mind."
On Wednesday, Musk acknowledged in a separate X post that Harris had outperformed expectations during her first debate with Trump. But Trump is still the superior candidate, Musk added.
"While I don't think the debate hosts were fair to @realDonaldTrump, @KamalaHarris exceeded most people's expectations tonight," Musk wrote.
"That said, when it comes to getting things done, not just saying nice-sounding words, I strongly believe that Trump will do a far better job."
Representatives for Trump and Harris didn't immediately respond to a request for comment sent outside regular business hours.
