Ghanaian actress Shugatiti has responded to critics who have accused her of being ‘prostitute’ due to her social media presence.

During a frank conversation with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, she posited that women who have sexual relationships with multiple men outside of wedlock could potentially be classified as prostitutes due to their actions.

Kumawood actress, Serwaa Abena Frimpong popularly known in showbiz as Shugatiti

People call me a prostitute, but in my opinion, if a woman is involved with multiple men without being married, she fits the definition of a prostitute. That’s how I see it. Personally, I have only dated one Nigerian, Shugatiti asserted.

Shugatiti confidently stated that she is unfazed by online backlash, emphasizing that prostitution is not limited to street solicitation but also includes individuals engaged in multiple premarital relationships.

Prostitution is not just about standing on the streets. It involves anyone who engages in sexual activities with multiple partners outside of marriage, she explained

Shugatiti mentioned a woman she knows who is dating multiple men at the same time, linking this behavior to economic difficulties. The statement has generated various responses on social media.

Actor Eddie Nartey shared his disagreement with Shugatiti’s statement, stating that he does not agree with the comparison.

He emphasized that “Ashawo” refers to sex for money, and having multiple relationships that are not based on monetary exchange should not be labeled as such. Nartey questioned whether the definition of “Ashawo” has evolved with the Gen Z’s.

The Ghanaian actress mentioned in the post below that numerous women depend on multiple men for different necessities, such as mobile credit, rent, and wigs.
